Wright Away: An Advanced Course for Playwrights

For those who have had previous productions or staged readings of their work, and / or have completed a previous Fishamble playwriting course.

Monday 30th November – Friday 4th December

About The Course:

The aim of this course is to help practicing playwrights to equip themselves with further skills for writing for theatre, and help them to broaden and deepen their work.

Monday to Friday mornings will be dedicated to discussion on set topics, using a range of contemporary works for illustration, backed up with exercises.

On Monday – Thursday the afternoons will be given over for writing.

On Friday afternoon Jim Culleton (Artistic Director, Fishamble) will respond to work produced during the week and discuss how the writer can get best use from the workshop / rehearsal process.

Time through the week will be given over to writers to discuss within the group issues of concern to them.

Course limited to 8.

10am – 5pm, Friday

€200, including ticket to Strandline by Abbie Spallen at Project Arts Centre, Monday 30th November
