Fishamble, in partnership with the Irish Times, asked the Irish public what can be achieved with three minutes of stage time, what are the issues that need to be addressed, and who are the people that should be brought to life in the theatre?

Fishamble received over 1,700 plays from every county in Ireland and many countries beyond.

Tiny Plays for Ireland combines selected works by members of the public and dramas by some of Ireland’s best loved writers to provide one dramatic picture of Ireland at the crossroads.

To celebrate the variety of voices and the creativity sparked by Fishamble’s call for submissions for Tiny Plays for Ireland, Fishamble: The New Play Company is programming a series of free pre-show, post-show discussions and readings right through the run.

Post show discussions, featuring a varied panel of speakers from all  walks of life, looking at where we are now and where we will go across the range of issues investigated by the playwriting public. March 21, 28 and 30, starting at 9.40pm.

To reflect the amazing interest in the call for submissions by young people, Fishambe offers you a chance to hear Young People’s Tiny Plays for Ireland, a selected reading on Saturday March 24, 5.30-6.30pm.

Meet the playwrights – pre-show meetings with Fishamble’s Literary Manager Gavin Kostick and playwrights of Tiny Plays for Ireland. An opportunity to meet some of the writers to discuss their gain insights as to the process and pleasures in the production to come. March 16 and 19, 6.30pm-7.30pm.
