Mentoring Programme for Playwrights and Directors as part of Belltable:Connect

Fishamble is pleased to announce the participants of the 2016-17 mentoring programme:

Jim Culleton Plays for AustraliaThe Directors’ Mentoring Programme is led by Fishamble’s award winning Artistic Director Jim Culleton.

Participants are: Ann Blake, Alan Dalton, Elena Coderoni, Tara Doolan, Rebecca Feely,  Sinead Hackett, Shane Hickey-O’Mara, Martin Kenny, Mollie Molumby, Carol O’Donovan, Mike Ryan and Róisín Stack.

The Playwrights’ Mentoring Programme is led by Gavin Kostick, Fishamble’s Literary Officer and award winning playwright.

Mentees are: Niall Carmody, Helena Close, Diane Crotty, Bridget Deevy, Emma Fisher, Deirdre Flynn, Brendan Griffin, Louise Holian, Pat Hynes, Paul McNamara, Sinead O’Loughlin and Dermott Petty.

ABOUT:
The initiative is intended to support the development of emerging and established playwrights and directors, who would benefit from an ongoing mentoring process to investigate and enhance their practice.

The programme will take place in the Belltable, 69 O’Connell Street, Limerick, over a series of ten Saturday mornings (10am – 1pm) from September 2016 until June 2017. Participants will discuss their current and future projects, explore the role of the playwright/director, and be mentored through challenges that face them. A work-in-progress showcase may be presented towards the end of the year, as appropriate.
