10th Anniversary of FORGOTTEN

10 Years of Forgotten…

Pat Kinevane in FORGOTTEN

It is a great source of pride (and some shock) to us that the performance of Fishamble’s Forgotten by Pat Kinevane this weekend in Dingle will mark the 10th anniversary, almost to the day, of its first performance.

Almost a decade ago, we began our journey with Pat’s remarkable play about four elderly people living in retirement homes. Since then, the production has toured to over 60 venues in Ireland, as well as throughout Europe and the US.

It has been joined by two other solo plays by Pat, Silent (since 2011) and Underneath (since 2014) and it is great to see audiences still relishing all three plays as much as they did when we started them. In fact, we have been so honoured and humbled by the warmth and generosity of people after Silent won an Olivier award recently, particularly to realise that the plays mean as much to many other people who experience them, as they do to us!

Forgotten will be part of Féile na Bealtaine this weekend, and began as part of the same Festival in 2006. Happy 10th birthday, Forgotten.
